Jo Ann Favia takes financial planning personally. Ms. Favia and her team have built Favia Group on strong personal relationships and a deep understanding of each client. Her philosophy is to treat the assets under management as if they belong to a close family member.

As an independent financial professional, Ms. Favia partners with business owners, individuals and families to help them to understand the importance of developing a strategic, long-term financial plan. She monitors the ever-changing financial environment, and maintains ongoing communications about marketplace developments. This ongoing dialogue helps clients fully understand the implications of the changing investment environment, and their options.

For business owners she designs retirement strategies that help owners, executives and employees achieve their desired goals and that provide a tool for recruiting and retaining top personnel.

For individuals and families she provides generational planning that includes wealth accumulation and preservation, investment strategies and income solutions for life.

With over twenty-five years experience in financial planning, Ms. Favia works with each client to understand the importance of their goals and objectives so she can view their total financial situation. Working closely with each client, she assesses current finances, defines future goals and then develops a comprehensive strategy to help meet those goals. She carefully examines all aspects of the client's portfolio to ensure all components are working together to help reach the desired objectives of the client. All of this can be achieved with respect and integrity toward the client's needs.

As a financial educator she frequently speaks at a variety of financial events. She holds the designations of Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Life Underwriter, and Accredited Investment Fiduciary. She is a Registered Representative and an Investment Advisor Representative with NFP Securities, Inc.

Ms. Favia has two children, Nikole and Michael.  Nikole is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford Ohio with a degree in Management Information Systems and currently is employed at Deloitte in Chicago.  Michael is an All-American soccer player and graduated from Loras College.  Michael is an Operations Manager at Silver Star Protection Group.  When not spending time with family or her clients she enjoys outdoor activities, exercise, boating, and travel.

Daniel Carthew

Dan is the Sr. Retirement Plan Specialist with Favia Group, where he will be the primary contact for 401(k) plan sponsors and participants with any questions or concerns regarding their plan. With focusing on providing comprehensive service, Dan will use his knowledge and experience of the retirement benefit industry to ensure client business objectives are met. In addition, Dan is responsible for educating participants on the specific details of their plan and helping them get enrolled to save diligently for their retirement.

Prior to joining Favia Group, he held the position of a Retirement Client Consultant, providing client support on areas such as plan design, industry rules and regulations, investment platform analysis, and general plan administration. Dan uses this knowledge to help ensure smooth transactions for both participants and plan sponsors.

Dan graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009, and currently holds a FINRA Series 6 (Investment Company and Variable Contracts Products Representative Examination)  & 63 (Uniform Securities State Law Examination) License, as well as ASPPA RPF Certification. He will be pursuing additional education and licensure at Favia Group.

Dan enjoys time with family and friends, whether it be exploring the city or trying new restaurants. He also enjoys traveling and has set a goal to travel to every continent, having already been to Europe and Australia. In his spare time you can usually find him outdoors either training for his second (and final) half marathon, or on the golf course.  

Christine Howley
Retirement Plan Specialist
Prior to coming on board, Christine worked for Transamerica Retirement Services where she was a retirement planning consultant for the last eight year.  As our new Retirement Plan Specialist, Christine will be responsible for serving 401(k) plan sponsors and their participants.
Julia Perez
Wealth Management Associate
Julia joins us from Larson Financial Group where she worked as a Financial Planner for over 7 years, supporting multiple advisory practices that catered exclusively to the needs of high net worth physicians. As our new Wealth Management Associate, Julia will work directly with Favia Group's individual clients and their families. 
Kimberly Krueger

Kim joins Favia Group as our Director of Client Relations.  She will work alongside Jo Ann and Suzanne overseeing our individual and family clients.  Kim is the welcoming face you will see when you visit the office and one of the voices you may hear when you call into the office.  By research and responding to your needs, Kim strives to ensure Favia clients receive the best level of concierge services

 

Having prior experience in the real estate and financial industries, Kim looks forward to applying her knowledge and skills to her new role at Favia Group. Coming from a larger financial firm, Kim has experience in debt management, life and disability insurance, asset protection, and other concierge financial solutions.

 

Kim self describes herself as a mountain girl having lived in Durango, CO for a number of years.  You can find her exploring the outdoors with her dog or spending time with family and friends.  Kim is passionate about helping those in poverty to overcome it, and educating others of poverty issues facing our world today. Kim graduated from Grand Canyon University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Theology.
